Great opportunity to join a dynamic team in the exciting world of Life Science! Our leading Real Estate client is seeking a Life Science real estate professional to join the Company’s Life Science business. Critical to success will be innovative thinking,  operational  excellence  and effective  management  of  assets  and relationships.  The successful candidate, reporting the Senior Director of Life Sciences, will work with the entire Life Science team to achieve successful financial results.  The position will handle a broad range of functions in the deal making process and will have direct revenue impact for the company’s Life Science portfolio within the Bay Area and San Diego markets. Projects include new developments, redevelopments and existing operating properties. This candidate requires knowledge of real estate documents. Professionalism and negotiation skills are essential for this position.

Job Duties:

  • Assist with lease proposals and lease documents including drafting proposals
  • Perform financial modelling of lease transactions, acquisition opportunities and development projects
  • Collaborate with external project team on multiple on-going capital projects (redevelopments, tenant improvements, etc.)
  • Assist in the implementation of project vision and Company brand initiatives for new development and repositioning efforts
  • Identify and track leasing trends in the Life Science industry and maintain an in-depth knowledge of local area competition for various quarterly and monthly reporting activitie
  • Conduct property site inspections including the evaluation of acquisition opportunities
  • Participate in the showing of vacant spaces to prospective tenants
  • Participate in 3-year leasing, capital and operation planning and forecasting
  • Develop contact lists and maintain database for deal workflow approvals and shared contact information
  • Prepare presentations for tenant pitches, and other corporate summaries as needed

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university  
  • Minimum of 2-3 years relevant work experience in Commercial Real Estate
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, et)
  • Experience within the Life Science industry (a plus)
  • Knowledge of real estate and deal-making
  • Familiarity with commercial office/industrial leases and purchase contracts
  • Strong financial, analytical and negotiation skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Driven for results, exhibits confidence in abilities and can be counted on to exceed goals successfully
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Highly detail-oriented and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks with limited oversight and training
  • Ability to travel (~10%) to LSE San Diego Office and to other LSE markets as needed
